Rubberbanding is a way to interactively see mouse movements on the display. On a high level, rubberbanding does not create or change anything. It merely displays graphically displays where the mouse is. However, rubberbanding can be used to control other operations that do create or change geometry, or view positions. Such rubberbanding tools that do perform such operations are called
rubberbanders. Rubberbanders fall into two broad classes. View rubberbanders change the camera position or viewing parameters. Geometry rubberbanders display the geometry to be constructed.
